Service Description

With a full day budgeted at eight (8) hours (including 1 hour preparation time privately for the mediator prior to) to mediate the topic(s) at hand. $200 per hour, plus 1 hour preparation time. Schedule a session, and pay prior to the mediation conference,. Both parties have to schedule a session: one party, the Plaintiff, if applicable, on Sherri's Timeslot 1 and one party, the Defendant, typically, on Sherri's Timeslot 2. All fees are earned upon receipt. This is paid after the ADR Conference by check, if applicable: "[M]ileage costs accrued by the mediator for travel to and from the ADR conference at a per mile rate that is equal to the standard business mileage rate established by the Internal Revenue Service...; and ... reasonable costs advanced by the mediator on behalf of the parties to the ADR conference, not to exceed $150." Cancellation fee for canceling this mediation is $200, not my standard 10%, due to being appointed by the Clerk of Court and SC Court Rule 19 applying.


Cancellation Policy

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance; there is a 10% fee for canceling or rescheduling less than 24 hours in advance of the appointment. Any additional time spent on matters is billed at my hourly rate for the service originally booked, as is detailed on my website. All fees are earned upon receipt. Please redact any information - like a social security number - that is sensitive personal information of you and/or someone else. If you require more information on what Alternative Dispute Resolution is prior to your service, I recommend you go to the American Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution section for their resources on their website. No weapons are allowed. No violence is allowed. No screenshots of the computer/phone/technical screen are permitted to ensure confidentiality. No recordings are allowed to ensure confidentiality. No smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drugs are allowed. The dress code is casual: jeans are okay to wear.
